The bus driver was good but there are many switchbacks between Pamplona and St Jean Pied de Port. I got nasceous from all the switchbacks.

Our driver was awful. Even though we had the correct tickets previously bought, he tried to advise us and many more passengers that we were on the wrong bus. His manner was rude and unhelpful.

The booking process was reasonably good to buy a single ticket for me, my husband, daughter and son from San Sebastián to Biarritz. I was emailed confirmation which stated I only had to present the booking reference number and my ID to get on the bus. The driver did not speak English and despite me giving her the booking number and ID she frustratedly said I needed the App. Eventually she let us board the bus but whether it was the bus suspension or her driving (perhaps both) it was a combination of sharp breaking then acceleration and the roughest gear changes. The positives were that the bus was on time, it was cheap, and very clean. The insistence on downloading an App for a simple 40 minute bus journey is silly and not at all customer friendly.
